Safe Network

For further information on this project, please contact Ratna Dutt

The Safe Network (SN) is a National Safeguarding Unit, designed to support third sector organisations to have effective safeguards to keep children and young people safe from harm.

SN is jointly managed by NSPCC and Children England (formerly NCVCCO), and carries out work with the Department of Education (formerly DCSF) and other partners to help organisations, including those offering unregulated sports and activities, to encourage them to introduce effective and sensible safeguards.

Race Equality Foundation is acting as a delivery partner to help SN ensure that their work supports black and minority ethnic organisations.

The  Network offers information, training, high quality materials and tailored advice to help volunteers, parents and organisations working with black and minority ethnic children and young people provide safe environments for children and young people to learn and have a great time.

The Safe Network runs primarily online via  The Safe Network website (external website) but telephone (0116 234 7217) and email helplines are also available
