Regional LINks action learning sets

The Race Equality Foundation, in their role as Department of Health Strategic Partners, are jointly developing and conducting a series of free action learning sets (ALS) for LINks members across the country. Organised in partnership with Disability Rights UK, NAVCA, and Regional Voices, the ALS aim to share and embed best practice across all LINks in the transition to HealthWatch. The sessions are free to attend, travel expenses will be paid and lunch will be provided.
The five sessions focus on development issues identified by LINks members:
- leadership- developing skills as leaders
- enter and view- how to carry out the visits
- engagement with diverse local communities
- representation- representing the views of local people
- influence- how to influence decision makers
The sessions are ideal for LINks members seeking to gain more confidence and enhance their skills, as well as those who are new to LINks. They will help practitioners:
- make a difference to local health and social care services
- improve local patient experiences and outcomes
- give a voice to those who are seldom heard
- hold commissioners and providers to account
- share and embed best practice across all LINks in the run up to local Healthwatch.
