The Race Equality Foundation has been selected to take part in Guardian Media and News' 'Volunteering Week' as part of its capacity as a Guardian BME Ambassador.  The programme is focussing on harnessing technologues and is designed to help community organisations exploit the benefits of using social media.

Volunteering Week has been organised as part of the Guardian's 'community programme', which has aimed to help support and develop the skills of organisations including voluntary groups, charities and special needs schools.  This year celebrates the 10th anniversary of community programme, and will see nearly 300 employees take part in the scheme.
